Pierre Gobert has followed the Belgian gambling market since 2020 and tests every operator personally with an emphasis on land casinos. Based in Namur.

Limits, age and EPIS

Player protection in Belgium is arranged more tightly than the Netherlands or France with concrete consequences for your account. On any licensed site the weekly limit defaults to €200. Downwards it goes without an intermediate step, upwards, a review and a delay apply.

Self-exclusion in Belgium is handled centrally, through EPIS: after registration no licensed operator grants you access. The register is not public. Since 1 September 2024 the minimum age is 21 for casino, gaming hall and betting; the National Lottery is the exception at 18. It applies online and on-site.
